To support the board of trustees achieve an ambitious long term plan of action designed to protect, extend and enhance this vital service. which includes attaining service accreditation with British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and reach Star Standard, a quality standard that is designed to enable voluntary sector groups to demonstrate their effectiveness and contribution to local agendas, the Compass Council of Management are pleased to announce the following;
Gary Williams has been appointed Vice Chair of the Compass Council of Management. A member of the BACP, Gary works as a counsellor for COMPASS and in private practice offering person centred counselling & solution focused brief therapy for members of the emergency services & performing artistes in the entertainment industry.
Andrew Reeves joins the Compass board of trustees, Andrew is a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist (Snr. MBACP) as well as a Fellow of BACP (FBACP). who originally trained as a social worker before then training in counselling and psychotherapy.
Andrew has researched therapy with suicidal clients and people who self-injure and self-harm for over 15 years and have written extensively about this.Over the years he has delivered highly-regarded workshops to many thousands of therapists, psychologists, mental health workers and teachers and have a national and international reputation for delivering engaging, inclusive, insightful and humorous training workshops.
