Join Formby Library and the Alzheimer’s Society on Tuesday May 16, for a memory walk around Formby village to mark Dementia Awareness Week 2017 (May 14-20).
The leisurely walk, departing from Formby Library at 10.30am, should last for around 40 minutes and will take in some of Formby’s local points of interest along the way.
The walk is for anyone, but is an ideal activity for those with dementia and their carers, those who enjoy local history or those who are nostalgic for times gone by.
There’s no need to book a place for the event. Anyone wanting to join in the walk can turn up on the day, ready to set off at 10.30am.
Everyone attending the walk are welcome to return to the library afterwards, for a reviving cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.
