Visitors flocked to the fifth annual Lydiate Village Festival at the weekend.
The popular family-friendly event was held on Sunday, April 30 at Hall Lane and boasted a range of entertainment.
This year’s event offered music, live performances, maypole, activities, attractions and a range of craft and food stalls plus a licenced bar. Competitions included the annual ‘Tug of War’ battle for the trophy, and the Bake Off style contest.
Having moved to a bigger location last year, the festival committee was made up of local volunteers aiming to bring the community of Lydiate and surrounding areas together.
