Mayor of Sefton welcomes Mila and her Mum to Bootle Town Hall after accident

The Mayor of Sefton welcomed Mila and her mum Kirsty to Bootle Town Hall after their accident on Balliol road Bootle, last month. Four year old Mila had serious head injuries as a result of the collision and was taken Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. Her mother Kirsty also had head and leg injuries and was taken to Aintree Hospital.

Both are back home with their family and on the mend. They were invited to the Mayors Parlour, in Bootle Town Hall along with members of their family by Dave Robinson, Mayor of Sefton and his wife.  Mila was presented with gifts and Kirsty received a family pass to Splashworld in Southport.

The Mayor took this opportunity to pass on his thoughts and well wishes to Mila, her mum and the rest of the family. Representatives from the British Transport Police and Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment were also present and showed their support to the family.

Dave Robinson, Mayor of Sefton said:

‘We couldn’t be happier to have Mila and her mum Kirsty here with us today, were thrilled that they’re both on the mend and doing so well.’

Mila’s mum Kirsty said;

‘I’d like to thank everybody who came to help my daughter and I after the accident. The support from the community has been overwhelming and we really want to thank all of the people who didn’t know us but came to help.’
