Calling all Coast-Lovers! Get involved this Autumn

The Friends of Sefton Coast are inviting keen environmentalists to get involved in a number of activities this Autumn.

Sefton Wood Allotment Group, is holding an open day on Sunday 23rd September to those interested in cutting their own firewood from sustainable sources. This is a great opportunity for anybody interested in improving their local environment and biodiversity while enjoying the outdoors.

The event will take place from 11am at Ainsdale Discovery Centre.

Keen volunteers are invited to assist the Hightown Beach Clean group with its next clean-up on Friday November 2. The group will meet at Altcar Rifle Range to begin the clean up which will help tidy up a beautiful part of Sefton’s coastline. Those interested should book ahead by contacting Tom through the group’s Facebook page.
