Giving a ‘BOOST’ to Local People
Are you stuck in a rut? Do you have time on your hands?
Woodvale and Ainsdale Community Association are running a FREE 6 week course funded by The P.H. Holt Foundation to help give local people aged 18+ a BOOST.
The course recognises that people learn from one another and gives people the opportunity to talk about their experiences. Participants learn to set achievable goals, develop the skills to communicate with confidence, recognises existing skills whilst gaining new ones, looks at time management and how to work together with other people. During the course participants will also produce a CV and gain an accredited level 2 First Aid qualification (the First Aid Course will be one full day training held on a Thursday).

High Five is a fantastic, free, 5 week course run by two experienced youth workers who have a background/ training in Youth Mental Health and Counselling.
The sessions throughout the course include:
- What is Stress and how can we manage it
- 5 ways to wellbeing
- Thinking styles
- Coping techniques and more!
Throughout the course we include group discussions, interactive games and support for any individual work. Held in a friendly, safe environment on a Monday evening from 6:30pm – 8:30pm for young people aged 13-18.
