Leadership Courses at Sefton CVS – Book Your Place Now!

As part of our Autumn / Winter Training Programme Sefton CVS are excited to announce two Leadership training courses in partnership with NCVO;

The CEO: Leading and Managing Change

Most major change initiatives generate only lukewarm results – many fail miserably.  The most common reason is that many managers don’t realise that transformation is a process, not an event.  It advances through stages that build on each other and it takes time.  Pressured to respond to a VUCA  world or accelerate the process, leaders and managers pull back or skip stages, but shortcuts never work.

Building on change management theories, and the practice and understanding of transitions, this course will provide you with a route map and a set of checklists for leading and managing successful transformations.

Date: Thursday 21st November 2019
Venue:
Sefton CVS, Burlington House, Waterloo, L22 0LG

Emerging Leaders

This course is for those who would be traditionally seen as middle managers and are now moving into a more senior position and taking on more leadership responsibility.  This role may be more complex than previously and may have more resources and complexity to manage.

You will explore the difference between supervision, management, and leadership to allow you to experience, review and identify effective approaches to leadership whilst considering the advantages and disadvantages of different styles.  The course will help emerging leaders to develop a sense of vision for their department or business unit and to operate more strategically and, ultimately, you will be encouraged to find your own preferred effective leadership style.

Date:  Thursday 20th February 2020
Venue:
Sefton CVS, Burlington House, Waterloo, L22 0LG

Please note – Places on both courses are strictly limited and costs will incur. For more information and to book your place please email training@seftoncvs.org.uk
