Working Together Forum
For professionals who have recently attended Sefton LSCB Working Together to Safeguard Children
(two-day training). This forum is about empowering the workforce with confidence and will include
learning opportunities as well as hearing from professionals in the spotlight sharing their knowledge and expertise. Spotlight shinning on CATCH 22 awareness raising around the work of protecting children from exploitation.

Sefton LSCB has listened to the children’s workforce. Building on the recent LSCB Serious Case Review events we are offering training to support professionals to understand the importance and the varying ways to capture the daily lived experience of children and young people.
Monday 2 March 2020 – 9.30am-12.30pm (Half Day)
Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre, Waterloo.

How Serious is Serious? 
Suicide Prevention for children and young people. This training has been designed to help professionals working with children and young people to spot the signs of a child or young person at risk of suicide. As the biggest killer of young people in the UK, accounting for 14% of deaths in 10-19 year olds, suicide is something that needs to be on everyone’s radar.

NB: Sefton LSCB Training is available to those organisations based within Sefton working with Sefton children and families. Independent/Private organisations who are and non-financial contributors to Sefton LSCB will be charged for attendance at training at a rate of £100 per person per day of course (£60 for half day courses).
