Litherland Youth & Community Centre (LYCC)
LYCC has suspended all face to face sessions , we are maintaining engagement with our young people and families via social media. Dedicating different days to each age range and posting such things as information, quizzes, activities, puzzles etc. We are also using our social media platforms to gain donations and support for donations of such things as non perishable foods and toiletries which can be given to local “in need” families, individuals and vulnerable individuals such as members of our senior luncheon club who may be social isolating.
They are phoning our most vulnerable families to check if they need anything. Last week they delivered goody bags to the CYP. Over 500 meals have been cooked and frozen onsite. Staff have been shopping and delivering food in the community.
Offer to young people, they are doing Bigger Challenges on Twitter via @MYA_SPACE
, Facebook @SPACEprojectMYA
and Instagram via @merseysideya
. They will be posted every time they do something. Please note – only registered young people can access. They can accept new young people but they need to request to join through Facebook and have to do a 1:1 with Staff first for safeguarding.
