Sefton CVS manage a number of projects covering a wide range of activities and themes – including volunteer mentor programmes, health and wellbeing projects and community initiatives. Some of Sefton CVS’s Projects include:

 

BuddyUpGreenDark

Buddy Up is a mentoring and befriending project for young people aged between 13 and 18 who have additional needs and disabilities who are at risk of social isolation. Read more…

 

The Community Connectors Project has been set up following a local pilot project. The overall aim of the project is to help those aged 18+ who are at risk of loneliness and/or isolation, who have low level mental health needs and may well access Adult Social Care for help with these issues. Include-IT Mersey v2 - AGREED

Include-IT Mersey is a brand new volunteer-led project helping people to get online across the Liverpool City Region. Funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund (ESF), the project aims to improve digital learning and skills across Liverpool, Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and the Wirral. Sefton CVS Reablement Project supports the South Sefton Virtual Ward Health & Wellbeing Trainer Service. The Health and Wellbeing Trainers support people to do things for themselves.  People using the service are expected to set their own goals and work with us towards achieving them. Read more…


Sefton CVS’s Merseyside Offender Mentoring project provides one to one support to newly released offenders through volunteer befriending.  The project supports offenders with identified issues and guides them in a positive way with an overall aim to instigate positive change and reduce the likelihood of re-offending. Strand By Me is a Community & Health Services shop located at the Strand Shopping Centre, Bootle managed by Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) in partnership with NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (SSCCG). The shop unit is available for hire for local Voluntary, Community and Faith (VCF) organisations as well as Health / Public sector groups.
