Sefton CVS statement following Manchester Terror Attack

Sefton CVS is deeply shocked and saddened by yesterday’s terror attack outside of a synagogue in Manchester.

Our heartfelt condolences go to the Jewish community and families and loved ones of those who have lost their lives. Our thoughts are with everyone injured and affected.

With community at the heart of our work here in Sefton, we know how important it is that local people come together in the face of such tragic events. Acts of hate and violence are designed to divide us; we stand firmly against all forms of hate—including antisemitism—and we affirm our unwavering support for the Jewish community and the Jewish faith in Greater Manchester, here in Sefton and beyond.

We send our solidarity to the people of Manchester and reaffirm our commitment to working with local groups, faith communities and residents across Sefton to promote cohesion, inclusion and peace.

If you feel impacted by yesterday’s events, please reach out to us, or your local CVS, for advice and guidance on where to find support.
