New grant fund for voluntary, community and faith organisations launched to support youth programmes in Southport

As part of the Southport Recovery Programme Sefton CVS, in partnership with Sefton Council, have launched a new Youth Programme Small and Medium Grants Fund for Voluntary, Community and Faith (VCF) sector organisations based in and supporting children and young people in Southport.
The fund provides:
- Small grants up to £1,000 for projects meeting at least one key outcome.
- Medium grants from £1,000 to £5,000 for projects meeting three or more key outcomes.
Funded activities must support children and young people aged 10–18 (or up to 25 with SEND) living in Southport and deliver outcomes such as:
- Building positive relationships and connections.
- Giving young people a voice to enable change.
- Promoting health, wellbeing, and inclusion.
- Developing skills and confidence.
- Encouraging active citizenship in the community.
Eligible organisations include registered charities, constituted groups, CICs, and faith-based organisations operating on a not-for-profit basis.
All applicants must demonstrate good governance, safeguarding, and financial accountability.
