Equal Voices in Action

A new name, a new series of inclusive community forums

Community Safety & Belonging

Join us for our upcoming Equal Voices in Action community forum — an open, creative space where local people come together to share experiences, listen to one another, and shape the future of Sefton.

Date: Thursday 26 February 2026
Time: 10:30am – 2:30pm
Venue: Compassion Acts, Victoria Centre, 197a Sussex Rd, Southport PR8 6DG

Join us and share your own lived experiences at our next EVA forum focusing on: community belonging, feeling safe (or unsafe) in local spaces and what inclusion means in day-to-day life.

Our agenda includes;

  • Spotlight Session – an opportunity for community groups and organisations to share more about their work, gaps they see in community safety, what belonging looks like to them in practice and where collaboration is needed.
  • Mindfulness Drawing & Reflection – a guided, inclusive creative session exploring:
    • What makes me feel safe?
    • Where do I feel I belong?
    • What would a safer community look like?
    • What structures do we need to work better together?
  • Networking Lunch
  • Summary, Commitments & Next Steps

These stories shape our collective priorities and help create services, spaces and policies that work for everyone.
