Led by Sefton CVS Heritage Officer Dr John Maguire, these guided tours offers a unique opportunity to explore the landmarks, memories, and stories that have shaped over the last 50 years and beyond.
About the Trail
This project is a proud part of the Sefton at 50 “Hearts of Gold” Heritage Lottery Project. Created by our fantastic local volunteers, the trail highlights the special people, places, and events that make Sefton unique.
As you walk, keep an eye out for the beautifully crafted wooden hearts displayed along the route. These hearts were created by local wood sculptor Simon Archer and feature a unique QR code. Simply scan them with your smartphone for local history, archived stories, and further information about the points of interest you’ll see along the way.
The dates and times for the trails are as follows:
Netherton – Tuesday 14 July, 11am-1pm – Book here…
Formby – Wednesday 15 July, 11am-1pm – Book here…
Bootle – Wednesday 5 August, 11am-1pm – Book here…
