Venus has an exciting opportunity for successful candidates to gain postgraduate qualifications in evidence-based psychotherapies for children and young people.

Trainee Systemic Family Practice (SFP) Practitioner – 1 post available

The 12-month Trainee SFP Practitioner post will help develop key skills required to be an evidence-based practitioner. The course will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop general core clinical skills and theoretical knowledge, with a specialism in systemic family practice for mood (depression), self-harm and behavioural (conduct) issues.

2 x Children and Young People Psychological Therapies (CYPPT) – Trainee Practitioner in Specialist Clinical Practice: Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities or Autism (LD/A)

The Trainee LD/A Practitioner post will help develop key skills required to be an evidence-based practitioner. The course will provide the successful candidate with the skills necessary to improve access and outcomes for Autistic children and young people and those with Learning Disabilities.

Children and Young People Psychological Therapies (CYPPT) – Trainee Practitioner – Parent-Infant Pathway – 1 post available.

The Trainee Infant/Early Years Practitioner post will help develop key skills required to be an evidence-based practitioner working with parents and children (0-5 years), gaining accreditation in Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) to support parent-child attachment, addressing parental mental difficulties and wider systemic factors.

The course will provide model-specific supervision in VIG as well as teaching on both VIG skills-based workshops and evidence-based theory and literature relating to supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of 0-2s and their parents/carers.
