Two vacancies have arisen with:


Employer: Litherland Youth and Community Centre
Base: 41 Sefton Road, Litherland, L21 9HD

Role: Community Support Lead
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week, predominantly Mon-Fri between 8am-3pm (occasional weekends and post 5pm)
Contract: Subject to successful trial period and external funding

Role: Deputy Lead Youth Worker
Salary:
£14.71 per hour
Hours:
18 hours per week, post 5pm. Sessions are Monday-Saturday to be negotiated and agreed 8 weeks in advance
Contract: Subject to successful trial period and external funding

Litherland Youth & Community Centre have two wonderful opportunities to join their team and make a difference in the lives of young people in the borough:

The Community Support Lead is responsible for

  • developing, coordinating and delivering a range of community-based services and activities that improve the wellbeing of local children, young people, adults and families;
  • working closely with local partners, volunteers and residents to identify community needs, build positive relationships and develop programmes that reduce isolation, promote inclusion and strengthen community resilience;
  • overseeing the day-to-day delivery of community projects, support staff and volunteers;
  • ensuring services meet funding outcomes and organisational objectives contribute to the continued growth and sustainability of Litherland Youth & Community Centre’s community offer

The Deputy Lead Youth Worker will:

  • support the development and delivery of a challenging and progressive youth work programme based at LYCC; both open access and targeted youth sessions for ages 8-18 years (or up to 25 for those with additional needs)
  • help support, and in the absence of the Lead Youth Worker, manage a team of qualified and unqualified youth staff and volunteers to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people from Sefton
  • support the development and delivery of a youth work programme that responds to the needs of local children and young people and adapts with the every-changing needs identified and local issues
  • participate in the planning, delivering and evaluation of the youth worker is required, especially in line with fundraiser expectations and LYCC aims and objectives

Qualifications / Training / Experience is essential for these roles.
