Could you help to gain insights into the lives of people affected by substance misuse?
Sefton Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) have an opportunity for organisations working directly with people affected by drug misuse to undertake in-depth, semi-structured interviews to gain insights into the factors affecting people’s lives in Sefton.
Funding is available to cover staff time and participant incentives.

What will it involve?
Organisations will need to complete detailed. semi-structured interviews with 30 people who could benefit from engaging with local drug treatment services but currently do not.
Organisations will need to collate individual’s responses on a standard template and submit them to Sefton CVS.
What support will you receive?
A dedicated briefing session will be held for staff undertaking interviews to explain the process and receive additional guidance. Organisations will receive a payment of £1,500 towards staff costs, in addition, participants will be offered a £10 participation incentive and travel expenses.
When will the work be undertaken?
15 interviews will need to be completed by 15 November 2023, with a further 15 interviews to be completed by 20 December 2024.
What will happen once the work is completed?
Responses from the interviews will be collated and analysed, following which a report will be produced which outlines key themes and points which have been captured in relation to the lives of people affected by drug misuse in Sefton. The report will be shared with Sefton’s Combating Drug’s Partnership and other key partnerships in Sefton.
