Avison Young’s vision is to invest in our local communities in a responsible and impactful way, that will bring maximum benefit to local people, the places in which we operate and the world around us.
The approach goes beyond traditional corporate social responsibility, encompassing a spectrum of initiatives aimed at generating tangible benefits for communities, the environment, and the economy. We believe it is about developing meaningful connections with local communities through strategic investments in community well-being and places, education and employment, climate action and conservation and DE&I. We will achieve this by working in partnership with UK charities to deliver impactful change and support those who are most in need.
Donations are available for UK registered charities, delivering programmes within the UK under the following themes:
- Community wellbeing & places
- Education & employment
- Climate action & conservation
- Diversity, equity & inclusion
Across our themes, priority will be given to applications which align with Avison Young’s core values.
Who is eligible to apply for a donation
UK Registered Charities (registered with the UK Charity Commission)
Who we are unable to work with
- Individuals
- Community Interest Companies
- Profit-making organisations
- Un-constituted organisations
What types of projects are eligible?
- Community projects, improving spaces or services for local people
- Projects helping social integration for marginalised groups
- Projects improving the life chances of marginalised/vulnerable groups.
- School projects – improving literacy and core skills of primary and secondary age children
- Careers and skills training for young people, and/or help for unemployed people to get back into work
- Projects to reduce environmental impacts of communities
- Projects to increase carbon literacy and take positive, sustainable actions
- Projects helping protect and regenerate green spaces and habitats
How to apply
We welcome applications for donations from across our regions, which are supported by Avison Young’s Regional Managing Directors. To apply for a donation, an expression of interest form should be submitted to hannah.baines@avisonyoung.com, providing outline information about the charity and the project that the donation will be supporting.
If the Expression of Interest form is successful and meets the headline eligibility criteria, charities will be invited to complete a full application, which will include detailed due diligence checks and provision of full project information.
