Angela has worked in Merseyside as Chief Executive of Sefton CVS for twenty one years, following studies in Lancaster and Manchester obtaining Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Divinity degrees.

She has led CVS through its development and growth as a local infrastructure agency nationally recognised for development of support services to frontline organisations and developing new services.

Angela is Vice Chair of Sefton’s Operations Board which brings together the key strategic partners in the borough and other multi-agency initiatives through the work of Sefton CVS locally, within Merseyside and the North West. These include the VOLA Learning Consortium and Change Up Consortium.

Angela is a Director of Together Liverpool, a new Church Urban Fund/ Diocese of Liverpool inspired initiative and Sefton Foodbank Network. She is also Company Secretary of Sefton CVS.

Angela is the Chair of Church and Society at Liverpool Diocese, a member of Bishop’s Council and Diocesan Synod. She became an Honorary Lay Canon of Liverpool Cathedral in 2004.

Angela is an avid supporter and season ticket holder of Sunderland AFC.

Nigel Bellamy

Nigel has worked in the Voluntary Sector for 20 years.  Previous employment was at CERN, Ministry of Agriculture and DHSS and as an elected Trade Union Official – Deputy President of NUCPS.
 
Involved in national campaigns to protect Welfare Benefits in the 1980’s and in International Solidarity work such as being on the National Committee of the Anti Apartheid Movement, chose to concentrate on local work in the sector when became a single parent in the 1990’s.
 
Led the development and management of the 4 Sure Start Local Programmes and Children’s Fund Preventative Strategy  in Sefton. Chair of 2 local charities, Brighter Living Partnership and Parenting 2000. Also Trustee/Director of South Sefton Development Trust, Independence Initiative, Southport and Formby Home-Start and Greater Merseyside Connexions Partnership.
 
Will Melia

Will has recently joined Sefton CVS as Director of Corporate Resources. A CIMA qualified account, Will has worked in a diverse range of sectors over the last 25 years including Telecommunications, Social Housing, Social Enterprise, Insurance and the Civil Service.

Will’s most recent post was as Director of Finance and Resources at King George V College in Southport. Will started at the £6m turnover 6th Form College in January 2009 and during his tenure was responsible for the Finance, Estates, IT and MIS functions. Key achievements include:

-Modernisation of the Finance function; including the implementation of online purchase order processing, invoicing and budget management systems.

-Implementation of a new MIS system to replace the previous in-house developed system.

-Member of Project Team for building developments totalling £4m+ over the last 4 years.

A keen cyclist, Will has raised over £5000 whilst taking part on various Charity bike rides including a ride through Uganda in 2013 and 10 stages of the 2014 Tour De France.
