Hearts of Gold – Sefton at 50: Community Heritage Grants

Hearts of Gold – Sefton at 50 is a Sefton CVS Heritage Lottery Funded project to engage, involve and celebrate Sefton’s special people, places and events. The project will use Sefton’s golden anniversary in 2024 as the focus for a programme of activity designed to raise heritage awareness and establish a platform for continued community development.

The project has a focus on recent local heritage celebrating the last 50 years of the Borough of Sefton. We want to encourage projects which relate to this period. Heritage can be anything from the past that you value – places, memories and stories – and want to pass on to future generations. This includes our natural heritage, habitats and landscapes.

The Community Heritage Grants are available to groups and organisations working in Sefton. This funding is targeted at actively engaging local people in recognising, improving, promoting and sustaining their heritage.
