The Casey Commission Consultation
Have your say on the future of adult social care. We wanted to make sure your organisation is aware of an important national opportunity, and to invite you to a dedicated session we’re hosting to help our sector take part.

To support our sector in contributing, Sefton CVS invite you to a dedicated session online via Teams on Thursday 3 September 2026, 11:30am – 12:30pm.
We’ll explain what the Commission is looking for, how to get involved, and gather local views to feed in collectively. Book your place below;

The Casey Commission (the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care), chaired by Baroness Louise Casey, is the most significant review of adult social care in a generation. It is gathering evidence to shape a long-term plan for a National Care Service in England, and it wants to hear directly from people who draw on care and support, unpaid carers, and the organisations working alongside them.
Why it matters for us
As local voluntary, community and faith organisations, we see every day the role our sector plays in keeping people well, connected and out of crisis. This is a rare chance to ensure that contribution — and the voices of the people we support — are heard at national level while the future of care is being decided.
How to get involved now
Please encourage your service users, volunteers and staff to share their experiences directly, and consider making a submission on behalf of your organisation:
- About the Commission: https://caseycommission.co.uk/
- Share your experience / make a submission: https://caseycommission.co.uk/contact/
- Take part in the Big Conversation on Care: https://caseycommission.co.uk/bigconversation/
- Read the terms of reference: https://caseycommission.co.uk/about/terms-of-reference/
We’d be grateful if you could circulate this to your networks and encourage the people you support to contribute their views.
You could collate this during your social activities, such as coffee mornings. Paper based copies can be provided for those with limited or no access to the internet. Please get in touch with communications@seftoncvs.org.uk
