Sefton Big Lunch 2025 – What’s On Guide

The Big Lunch, organised by the Eden Project, is the UK’s annual get-together for neighbours and communities, with millions of people coming together for a few hours of friendship, food and fun. It’s a great way to get to know each other better, have a good time and celebrate where you live.

Taking place nationally over the weekend of the 7th – 8th June 2025, there are many ways you can get involved including;

Host a Community Meal
Bring neighbours together for a shared meal – whether it’s a picnic, BBQ or themed food event. It’s a great way to build connections and enjoy each other’s company.

Gather in a Community Garden
If you have a shared green space, host a relaxed get-together. Invite fellow gardeners and neighbours to swap stories and share a meal surrounded by nature.

Connect and Support Local Groups
Reach out to community centres, schools, or local organisations running Big Lunch events. Offer help or join in – working together can make the event more inclusive and impactful.

Spread the Word
Promote The Big Lunch through posters, social media, and local press. Encourage friends and neighbours to take part and help make it a special occasion for your community.
