Project MINIBUS Crowdfunding Appeal – Help support Sefton Sea Cadets to raise funds for a new minibus

Sefton Sea Cadets is based in Litherland, Merseyside and is a uniformed Youth Organisation and Charity based on the traditions and ethos of the Royal Navy and other maritime services.

Sefton Sea Cadets provide valuable developmental experiences through nautical adventure and fun; which in turn helps our young people become better citizens for the Community and develops their CV and potential too. The group are a diverse organisation that has members who are “looked after”, disadvantaged and underprivileged.

DONATE NOW

Litherland is in the South of Sefton, and Sefton Sea Cadets rely heavily on our Unit transport, especially when the group need to access wider events within the National, Area or District Sea Cadet organisation. A minibus would allow Sefton Sea Cadets to ensure that the group can meet such demand and allow young people the opportunity to get involved with such events and training.

Sefton Sea Cadets currently have a minibus, which is now 14 years old and in the recent years has cost us more to fix and maintain than ever before. Including two breakdowns and recoveries for the minibus, which had a detrimental effect on the participation of the cadets training. Unfortunately, the recent MOT failure will have a detrimental effect on how Sefton Sea Cadets can continue to provide the Cadet experience.
The group have teamed with Sefton 4 Good and hope to raise funds towards the £7500 target to purchase a brand new minibus, and are encouraging local poeple, businesses and organisations to donate whatever they can to help support this valuable cause.
