Sefton LSCB: Guidance for joint targeted area inspections on the theme of child exploitation

Sefton LSCB have advised that Ofsted have recently published the new guidance for Joint Targeted Area Inspections (JTAI) Child Exploitation, focusing on CSE, CCE and County lines.

There has been a very important (and surprising) change in the published guidance; Annex A Lists 6 (CIN), 7 (CPP), and 8 (CLA) with CCE/CSE information will now be required by 5pm on the Monday, i.e. on the same day as notification. All other deadlines are therefore a day earlier. Attached is the full guidance, and the link is below.

Sefton Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) host powerful “Voice of the Child” event to learn from case reviews

Hundreds attended Sefton Local Safeguarding Children Board’s (LSCB) latest ‘Voice of the Child’ event at Bootle Cricket Club.

Around 500 people from agencies across Sefton attended three ‘Learning from Serious Case Reviews’ sessions throughout the day.

Drama Training Company AFTA Thought delivered the sessions using actors, powerfully conveying four case reviews by “bringing the voice of the child into the room”.
