Working Futures Programme for people age 16-29 in Liverpool

Tomorrow’s People is a national employment charity that works with those facing the greatest barriers to employment and helps them to get and keep a job. The charity has helped over 475,000 people on their journey into work since it was founded in 1984.

The Working Futures programme lasts 10 weeks with minimum 12 hours attendance over 2 days weekly. This will include in work placements or training .Participants will be provided with a paid for weekly bus pass and their benefits will be unaffected by attending this 10 week programme.

Support is aimed at people looking to develop their confidence and employability skills. Participants will be given support in choosing their job goals and setting out an immediate action plan. They will also benefit from work experience and CV development.

The Sefton programme will commence from Wednesday 5th October through to Friday, 9th December 2016, from 2nd Floor training room in 3tc House, 16 Crosby Road North, Waterloo L22 0NY (from where we will also deliver future 2017 courses commencing 17th July & 4th December).

Working Futures project offers help and support for local, young unemployed people

Working Futures is a new project, part funded by the European Social Fund and Youth Employment Initiative to provide a personalised, flexible package of support to help young people aged 16 to 29, who are currently not in employment, education or training (NEET), to move towards a better future.

The programme will be delivered by a partnership of 22* not-for-profit training providers spanning the six boroughs of Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens, Halton and Wirral, with the ability to offer localised delivery in key areas of need

Led by Greenbank College, in collaboration with VOLA Consortium, the proven multi-agency approach, founded on partners that really care about their local communities, will ensure that those in need of additional support to help develop their skills and find work will receive the best possible service; whatever their starting point.

Assistance will include employability and skills development, work experience and wider barrier removal and the time on the programme will be dependent upon the needs of the individual.
