Living Well Sefton; Deputy Programme Manager

Job title: Deputy Programme Manager
Salary: £31,917 
Location: Sefton CVS, Burlington House, Waterloo
Hours: Full time post at 35 hours per week
Term: Fixed term: Expected up until March 2024
Accountable to: Living Well Sefton Programme Manager

Job Purpose:

To support the successful delivery of the Living Well Sefton programme. To continue to develop positive relationships with the Delivery and Neighbourhood Partners. To support the Living Well Sefton Grants and Training programme and support the successful Social Prescribing Programme.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the Programme Manager in the successful delivery of the Living Well Sefton programme.
  • Deputise and chair meetings in the absence of the Programme Manager.
  • Ensure clear communication with Living Well Sefton Partners.
  • To support the delivery of person centred and solution focused approaches throughout the partnership.
  • Support and co-ordinate user engagement and involvement within the programme.
  • Contribute to performance monitoring reports and review meetings.
  • Attend relevant strategic meetings on behalf of the Programme Manager.
  • To promote the Living Well Sefton programme with all key stakeholders.
  • Support the Programme Manager, the Data and Intelligence Officer and the Evaluation, Quality and Grants Officer, in supporting Living Well Mentors to achieve their targets.
  • Support the management of the Community Connector programme.
  • Support all communications on behalf of the programme.
  • In conjunction with the Programme Manager, oversee the programme budgets.

Sefton Young Advisors

Job Title: Sefton Young Advisor                     
Hourly Rate: £9
Location: Borough wide
Hours: Sessional
Accountable to: Sefton Young Advisors Team Lead

Job Purpose

The purpose of the job is to engage with young people in our area by working with community leaders and decision makers to ensure youth voice is heard.

Types of work you might do:

  • Create and facilitate consultations with young people in Sefton to listen to their opinions on local issues.
  • Produce young person friendly information and materials – “youth-proofing”.
  • Link with other existing young people’s groups, networks and forums in Sefton.
  • Engage with individuals and the community through various mediums, e.g. social media, meetings and consultations.
  • Participate in essential training, e.g. safeguarding, communication skills, leadership training.
  • Communicate in a range of face-to-face and online work.
  • Writing reports on projects that Young Advisors have facilitated.
  • Creating and recording video content.

Young Advisors are employed and managed by Sefton CVS. Young Advisors will be paid minimum wage until after the training period and then £9 per hour. The job is very flexible and will fit around your lifestyle as far as possible (e.g. school, college and part-time work commitments). Service as a Young Advisor has to end when turning 23, this is because the role is for people aged 15 – 22.

Healthwatch Sefton – Chairperson

The role of chairperson will require someone with drive, energy, enthusiasm and a knowledge, understanding and experience of governance at a senior or board level. The chairperson of Healthwatch Sefton will also have a seat on the Sefton Health & Well Being Board and will need to take a leadership role within the newly emerging health and care system. The role will include leading and further developing Healthwatch Sefton, working as one of the Directors, chairing the Board, chairing the operational Steering Group and working with other partners to set the strategic plan and direction. 

This position is voluntary and unpaid, however reasonable out of pocket expenses will be paid. The chairperson will have access to office accommodation (Burlington House) and administrative support.

Sefton CVS; High Intensity User Service

Job Title: High Intensity User Service: Outreach and Intervention Worker
Salary: £24,964 – Full Time
Term: Fixed term until September 2023 initially
Location: South Sefton, based at Sefton CVS Burlington House
Responsible to: High Intensity User Co-ordinator

Sefton CVS and South Sefton and Southport and Formby CCG’s are currently delivering a project to support high-intensity users of emergency NHS services.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual, with experience of working with people with complex needs as well as working within a fast-paced environment, to join our exciting project. The successful candidate will work with a rolling cohort of patients who attend A&E and are admitted to hospital more than might be expected. We are looking for individuals whose ability to connect with patients is strong enough to be able to change the behaviours of people with even the most complex medical/social needs. The post holder will seek to appropriately reduce the number of unscheduled care interactions, emergency contacts and other care interactions across Southport and Formby CCG areas.

Reporting to the High Intensity User Co-ordinator, the Outreach and Intervention Worker will work with people to focus on positive behaviour change addressing those issues that are contributing to inappropriate care seeking behaviours.

This role is fixed term until 30 September 2023 in the first instance and is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Sefton CVS; 4x Buddy Up Project Session Workers

Job Title: Buddy Up Sessional Worker

Buddy Up Co-ordinator

Job Purpose: To support the delivery of weekly social clubs for young people aged 13-18  and 18-25 with additional needs and disabilities, in accordance with the policies of Sefton CVS and at the request of the Buddy Up Coordinator.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up of community centre or other community venue for weekly social club or activity.
  • To facilitate activities such as games and arts and crafts.
  • To supervise and support participants and volunteers during social clubs and activities to ensure their safety at all times.
  • To ensure that all participants leave activities via the pre-arranged method of transport or with a responsible adult safely.
  • To support participants to shape the sessions they attend by gathering ideas for activities and supporting the participants to plan future trips and activities.
  • To clear up at the end of social clubs and activities leaving the venue in the condition it was found in.
  • To report any safeguarding concerns to the Buddy Up Coordinator
  • To follow Sefton CVS Safeguarding policy and procedure when necessary.
